I have recently completed a Master’s in English Literature at the University of Ottawa.
My Master’s thesis looked at the political limitations and possibilities in Canadian experimental poetry in relation to Jacques Rancière’s concept of dissensus. I attempted to look at the ways poetry can be genuinely and authentically activist. Deadpool and Cardi B also influenced my project.
Prior to my studies, I spent time working in Los Angeles as a pop and locker. I am an original member of the poetry performance ensemble Rhombus 19 and the creator of the Zine Apocalips.
In the Fall of 2020, I will be starting a PhD in English Literature at the University of Toronto.
When nothing goes right, go left.
