I completed my Master’s in English Literature at the University of Ottawa.
My Master’s thesis looked at the political limitations and possibilities in Canadian experimental poetry in relation to Jacques Rancière’s concept of dissensus. I attempted to look at the ways poetry can be genuinely and authentically activist. Deadpool and Cardi B also influenced my project.
Prior to my studies, I spent time working in Los Angeles as a pop and locker. I am an original member of the poetry performance ensemble Rhombus 19 and the creator of the Zine Apocalips.
In the Fall of 2020, I will be starting a PhD at the University of Toronto.
When nothing goes right, go left.
